Become a Temporary Emergency Foster Parent

Help Kids in Need

By Providing Temporary Emergency Beds

Consider becoming a Temporary Emergency Foster Parent.

Sometimes, children rescued from abuse and neglect don’t have a home immediately available.

An Emergency Foster Parent provides emergency beds. Children in this program remain in your home only for 1 day or up to maximum of 20 days, while the county and Foster Family Agency looks for a more permanent foster home.

Additional Information

Typically, children in temporary emergency placement do not have Visitation with biological relatives and you may not have all the responsibilities associated with regular foster care.

In fact,  you determine how many beds you wish to reserve and how frequently you wish to host a child in your temporary emergency bed. And for reserving a bed for emergency, you will be compensated with a fixed stipend each month even if the bed is not used. Once the child is placed in your home, you will receive compensation for each night the child is in your home.
