Our commitment and program development

High Fidelity Wraparound

Youth and family voice. Individual strengths. Lasting connections in the community.

Our commitment extends beyond funding

Knotts Family Agency is committed to the principles of High Fidelity Wraparound: listening to youth and families, building on their strengths, respecting their culture, coordinating support around their individual needs, and strengthening relationships that can continue over time.

These principles are part of our organizational direction. We aim to reflect them in our work with children, youth, and families within the scope of our existing services.

Dedicated funding has not yet been confirmed

KFA is developing its planned HFW program. This page describes our commitment and preparation; it does not announce a funded service or open enrollment. A launch will depend on confirmed funding, applicable county contracting arrangements, staffing, and operational readiness.

Certification and service availability

KFA is included as “Knotts Family” on the California High Fidelity Wraparound Certified Aftercare Providers list maintained by UC Davis. The list was updated October 12, 2026.

Certification is a distinct milestone. Funding, a county contract, and the ability to accept referrals are separate matters. Confirmed service areas, eligibility, and referral instructions will be published when available.

What Wraparound means

Wraparound is a coordinated planning process for youth and families with complex needs. A team develops and follows an individualized plan with the family, drawing on professional services and the people and community connections important to them.

Voice and choice

The youth and family help define their priorities and what progress should look like.

Strengths and culture

Planning recognizes abilities, relationships, identity, traditions, and sources of resilience.

Individualized support

Strategies respond to the family’s underlying needs and circumstances.

Shared responsibility

Team members coordinate their contributions and follow through on agreed actions.

Community connections

Relatives, friends, and other natural supports can help sustain progress.

Learning and persistence

The team reviews progress and changes strategies when needs are not being met.

A structured process

  1. Engagement: Build relationships and understand strengths, needs, and priorities.
  2. Plan development: Agree on goals, strategies, and responsibilities.
  3. Implementation: Carry out the plan and review progress together.
  4. Transition: Plan for continuing support beyond formal services.

This overview explains the model. California’s Wraparound Standards describe its principles, phases, organizational supports, and evaluation expectations. See also the National Wraparound Initiative’s introduction.

Our next steps

KFA’s planned HFW recruitment covers roles serving San Bernardino County from Redlands and Victorville. Final hiring decisions are contingent on a county contract award, as explained on our careers page. Planned positions do not represent a currently staffed service team.

Our development priorities include funding and contracting, qualified staffing and training, referral coordination, family and youth participation, and the systems needed to monitor practice and outcomes.
